Attach files from Dropbox to Contacts, Companies and Deals

Dropbox is a free service that lets you bring all your photos, docs, and videos anywhere. It’s super easy to keep all your files in sync with their seamless web, mobile, and desktop apps.

When we heard about the Dropbox Chooser, we immediately started work on adding it to Evolticom. Leveraging the work done for adding Google Drive integration, we were able to finish it in a couple of hours. Now you can start using it today!

To add a file from Dropbox, just open a card, click the “Attach file…” button, and select “Dropbox”. The Dropbox chooser will come up and you’ll be able to select files and photos from your account.

Attach files from Google Drive to Contacts, Companies and Deals – Evolticom Sales CRM

You already love Google Docs, the online productivity suite that lets you create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations and easily share them with others. Google Drive is the new home for Google Docs, but lets you store all your files — documents, photos, videos, music… anything — and gives you access to them anywhere.

Today we’re excited to announce that we’ve integrated Google Drive in Evolticom Sales CRM. It’s really easy.

Open a Contact, Company or Deal, select “Attach file…”, then select “from Google Drive”. You’ll be asked to log in to your Google Account if you have not already. Choose some files and hit “Select”. You’re done! You’ll see a link to the file in the attachments section immediately.

Why just a link? Sharing permissions are handled on Google’s end meaning we don’t know who you want to share the file with. Google Drive files are private by default, so if you want other people to access it, click the big, bright “Share” button on the top right of the Google Doc page.

We think you’ll love it. We hope to integrate with other storage solutions out there in the future.

Forward emails to your Evolticom dropbox

Your Evolticom account has a “dropbox address”. Your dropbox address is an email address that’s attached your account. When you send or forward an email to your dropbox email address, Evolticom receives it and attaches it to the right contact in your account.

You can find your dropbox address by signing into your Evolticom account, clicking “Account & Settings” in the top right corner, and selecting “My info”. Look for the “Email Dropbox” section for your own dropbox email address.

In the example below, an email from Peter Lestadius was forwarded to Evolticom. Evolticom then determined the email was from Peter Lestadius and attached it to Peter’s page inside the Evolticom account.

While this example is an email forward, you can also CC your dropbox when you send an email to someone and email will be attached to your contact in Evolticom.

All the small things – Twitter and Google Maps in Evolticom

You can now enter the Twitter username of your contacts and Evolticom will display the contact’s Twitter profile image as well as a link to their Twitter page.

When viewing a contact for which you have entered an address, you will also see a little map.

Clicking on the map will open Google Maps with the contact’s address already selected in a new tab or window (depending on your browser’s settings).

This will eliminate the tedious task of looking up a contact’s address so you can be on your way to that meeting faster.
